(January 1, 2014) MedReview Celebrates Bill de Blasio’s Inauguration as Mayor

MedReview eagerly anticipates the start of the New Year and the beginning of the de Blasio administration. Major changes are expected in New York City politics in 2014 with the election of Bill de Blasio as Mayor.

The organization takes great pleasure in congratulating Mr. de Blasio as he assumes office. Through the years, he has demonstrated a passion for the needs of every New Yorker and a deep understanding of health care issues that impact all of us. He particularly appreciates the importance of providing cost-effective health care to all New Yorkers while maintaining the high quality of care that is critical to all.

In recent years, MedReview was privileged to host Mr. de Blasio at numerous functions ranging from holiday parties to staff luncheons to fundraisers on behalf of impoverished children living in the Philippines. MedReview C.E.O., Joseph Stamm also was honored to host Mr. de Blasio in his home.

Through his frequent contacts over the years, Mr. Stamm has developed a personal relationship with the new Mayor and has formed a level of trust and friendship which is rare with public officials. Mr. Stamm attended the Mayor’s inauguration ceremony at City Hall and noted that Bill de Blasio is the kind of person who genuinely cares about others and wants to help improve peoples’ lives. Working together with the newly elected City Comptroller, Scott Stringer, who has also expressed concerns with the rising health care costs in New York, MedReview looks forward to ushering in an administration that truly understands the issues concerning New Yorkers and will be active in ensuring that affordable, quality health care continues to be available to all.
