As the year came to a close, NYCHSRO/MedReview once again held its annual Year-end Holiday Party. After a year which started in turmoil with the events surrounding Hurricane Sandy but ended on a more positive note with the organization announcing it had signed a new lease for its Water Street offices, the entire organization was ready to celebrate. We returned to Moran’s in Manhattan which has become NYCHSRO/MedReview’s favorite party spot and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked through the doors and were greeted by the manager until the last partier left, everything was perfect and the event closed out our year in style.
NYCHSRO/MedReview C.E.O. Joseph Stamm along with many members of the Board of Directors of MedReview greeted over 200 staff members, clients and guests, thanking everyone for attending and making 2013 a special year for the organization. The party is always a highlight for staff, many of whom work from remote locations and do not regularly interact with staff members located in the main office on Water Street.
Among the many guests, Mr. Stamm was delighted to be able to greet a large number of public officials who chose to join NYCHSRO/MedReview in the celebration. The special guests included newly elected New York City Comptroller, Scott Stringer, Former NYC Comptroller Bill Thompson, Assistant Speaker of the Assembly, Rhoda Jacobs, Chairman of the New York State Assembly Health Committee, Dick Gottfried, NYS Assemblymen, Dov Hikind, David Weprin, and Steve Cymbrowitz, NYS Senators Simcha Felder and Marty Golden, NYC Councilmen, Mike Nelson, Mark Weprin, and Chaim Deutsch. All of the officials praised the organization for the outstanding work it performs and for helping keep important health care concerns of their clients in the forefront of discussions.
All of the guests were treated to lively music, exhuberant dancing, a delicious buffet dinner and beverages and lots of fun. After many years hosting our parties, Moran’s feels like an extension of the office where everyone feels comfortable and able to relax and party and celebrate another successful year. A happy and exhausted crowd helped close out the year on a high note with everyone looking forward to an even better year in 2014.
