Dr. Medow assumed the functions of Co-Chairman over the past year, allowing the Chairman, Dr. Albert Keegan, to reduce the day-to-day responsibilities he so ably performed for the organization for many years.
Dr. Medow has been a member of NYCHSRO/MedReview’s Board for the past 26 years. He is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and has long been affiliated with the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital where he is an Attending Ophthalmologist, Director of Surgery for the Ophthalmology Department, Fellowship Director, and Chair of the Credentials Committee. He is also affiliated with New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center, Weill Medical College of Cornell University, NYU Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, and Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Medow has teaching appointments at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat where he serves as Director of Pediatric Ophthalmology as well as at Weill Medical College and at NYU Medical College.
Throughout his outstanding career, Dr. Medow has been a frequent lecturer on various Ophthalmologic topics and has had his work published in numerous medical journals. He presently serves on the Editorial Boards of the National Center for Vision and Child Development, The Lighthouse, Foundation of American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the Ophthalmology Times.
Dr. Medow’s term has already overseen the expansion of governmental contracts and the development of new business in NYCHSRO/MedReview that has triggered a resurgence at NYCHSRO/MedReview over the past six months, leading to the highest gross income in the organization’s 30 year history. The entire organization thanks Dr. Keegan for his outstanding contributions during his tenure as Chairman and we are certain will continue in his role as Co-Chairman with Dr. Medow. Although he will be sharing responsibilities, NYCHSRO/MedReview knows it will be able to continue to count on his wisdom and clinical leadership in the future. We now confidently look forward to continued success under Dr. Medow’s leadership alongside Dr. Keegan.
